I’ve recently upgraded to a 240hz monitor and that required me to also upgrade my CPU, motherboard and RAM.
I’ve tried playing CSGO and my fps is fluxuating between 100-200. Before I upgraded it would be around 200-300.
My current specs are:
CPU: i7 9700k
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix b364-g
GPU: ASUS GeForce 1080 Strix
RAM: Ballistix Sport D4 DDR4 2666mhz
Cooler: Corsair H90
PSU: Corsair 850w (cant remember name)
Monitor: Alienware AW25HF
Anyone have any idea why my system is performing so poorly? I should have around 400-500fps constant. I also need to remind you that I am playing on a low resolution and low settings as I am used to this from 1.6. Only reason I upgraded my system was to make sure I got 240+ fps in CSGO no matter what. I also upgraded to an M.2 ssd which also should somewhat improve the performance. So far this is the only thing that seems so be working as load times and alt tabing has improved. This is also because of the RAM upgrade. My CPU just doesnt seem to be utilizing all of its power.
Please help me out. All advice is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
