8O Do you know what the main differences (advantages/dissadvantages/problems) are between the i848 and i865 intel chipsets on ASUS Mainboards.

The ASUS P4P800S-X (i848) and ASUS P4P800E delux (i865) have much the same features but price difference is considerable ie. P4P800S-X (i848) = $68 Aus and the P4P800E (i865) = $156 Aus.

865 is better for performance (dual channel), but only worth the price difference for gaming. For everything else, the 848 will work fine. I found an old soyo refurb 865 for $20 close out last year, and gave it to a friend.
