Can someone tell the difference between i915 vs i865, on the speed,
stability...etc.

Difference seems to be pci express and more sata, less ide, probably
gigabit LAN. Prescott support.

The boards I have looked at have not used DDR2. But be aware of that.

Frontbus speed is not exchanged, so I would not expect any speed
enhancement as compared with i865.
