Well, I guess it was bound to happen. One of the Deskstar 60's on my RAID 0 setup just up and died, leaving me without the opportunity to retrieve my data. (sniff)
Of course, I didn't back stuff up, I felt I was immune
Now, obviously I need to upgrade the hard drives, but not sure what to go with. I'm looking for the fastest read/write speeds. I was thinking about the fluid bearing Maxtors, but not sure.
Any suggestions?
ABIT KR7A-133R with Highpoint 372 raid
AXP 1800
512 DDR 2100
One dead IBM Deskstar 60GXP Build date 12/01
One good IBM Deskstar 60GXP Build date 05/01
(yep, the newer drive died first)
