I had an Excel XP file shortcut on my desktop, I changed the icon
(Properties>Change Icon...) now I want to change it back. Where are the
default Excel icons located? I am assuming it is in the
Programs>MS_Office>Office 10>......? which DLL?

I think so
or download TweakUI to repair the icon cache

If it's a shortcut to a file, simply delete it and re-create another.

I suppose you've tried everything except the excel.exe file? In the folder
you've mentioned.

Hmm... I saw that but thought it was just the program. So many icons are
stored in those dll files I assumed the one I was looking for was too.
Thanks!
