Hello!

I have a problem with Windows XP's Internet Connection Sharing.

The host computer sharing the connection is running XP Pro.

Before, the client XP computers on the network would have a listing in the network connections saying "Cable & Wireless on INNOVATIVE" and were able to connect / disconnect the connection remotely. Now that option does not appear. I made sure the "Allow remote users to connect / disconnect is enabled, and the internet works, but I like to be able to connect remotely.

The client computers are running 2000 and XP Pro and Home.

Thanks!

How long ago did it work? An easy workaround is to run system restore- provided of course it wasnt ages ago when it last worked, easier than pissing about with ics- which in my opinion has a mind of its own

If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?

I really don't like to use System Restore because it has never worked in the past. Also, I don't have any real idea when it stopped working. Is there a way to uninstall the connection sharing and then reinstall it?

just remove the old one, create a new one and share it. nothing wrong can happen if you know the settings.
