I'd like to overclock my x800 GTO

Well, I've just installed my 128 Mb PowerColor x800 GTO. It's up and running with no problems, and plays great. Now I want to squeeze as much juice out of this thing as I can by overclocking.

So, anyone know off the top of their heads what to set memory and clock speeds to?

Start slow, maybe 5 or even 10 MHz. Voiding your warranty anyhow. A good friend of mine flashed his to a X850 XT PE and has it clocked at 540/1220. It is a X800 GTO^2, though.

Alright, but when should I stop? When I start to see artifacts?

Use ATi Tool to overclock it. There's a built-in artifact scanner. And start with small increases. Once there are artifacts, stop and reduce the core/memory speeds by about 10 MHz each.

OOOOOH, cool. My 200th post!
