ide drivers in XP

I'm planning to try a clean install and load XP. Do I need to install ide drivers for my motherboard. The installation disk has them for Win98 and W2K. The board is a DFI AK76 with a AMD 760 chipset. The board supports the new XP processor after you flash the bios.

i just did a fresh install of xp after doing the upgrade route a few weeks ago to see how i liked it,as far as i can tell you don't need to my comp works fine,xp recognized everything
