IE 6.0 Won't Activate Links

Some hyperlinks in IE 6.0 won't activate. I see a message such as Javascript or Java PopWindow at the bottom left of screen. When I click, I see "Error on Page" in same spot. This computer has XP home. My other computer running Win98 and IE 6.0 works fine. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have Microsoft virtual machine installed and java enabled. I had this problem under win98se but going to XP solved it. Of course, that's not the reason I switched. My browser would not open certain pop up windows when links were clicked and if I am not mistaken, that is your problem. I never resolved it under win98. You can also try a repair install of IE
