I will say that I went back to my X6 1100T as a lot of work I do requires a combination of IPC and thread count performance, which the Thuban does pretty well. This doesn't mean I have any ill sentiment towards Zambezi, which can in most instances serve to be a very good setup for specific users.
As I said before, the Zambezi's, more so the 8000 chips make exceptionally good workhorse setups for the price range, you get the 2700K's multithreading performance off a significantly cheaper chip, more so CMT is more efficient than HT. If you are a gamer, then Sandy or any first gen core I setup as well as the old faithful Phenom II is the best route.
