If I buy a router will I have WiFi in my home

Hi,
There are typically two main components to the home networking.

1) MODEM (connect house to internet)

2) ROUTER (connect local computers and devices to MODEM)

*Many people sell "routers" that include the MODEM so you have to be careful what you buy. Sometimes the ones with the MODEM included are called "Gateway" devices.

You'll have either a CABLE or DSL modem (DSL uses telephone line) to match the ISP you choose.

**WIFI?
Wi-Fi is part of the router, yes.
There are however different kinds of routers, so not sure specifically what you are looking for.

I suggest one with both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks available. It isn't necessary to support "ac" protocol.

Hope that helps get you started.

So...
**TO BE CLEAR:
If you have the MODEM already, make sure you buy a ROUTER ONLY. If you need the MODEM included make sure you get the correct type of model (Such as Router with DSL modem).
