If i cpu was to fry

if a cpu was to burn.... would it show something on the screen? i have this problem with my computer first i tought it was the gpu turns out its not... now im thinking either cpu or mobo is fried.
but im having trouble pinpoiting the problem...

nothing the screen is not showing anything thatss why i think its the mobo that burned i bought a brand new gpu today thinking that was the problem but it did not not solve it... changed the card of pci slot tryed everything... unplugged everything in the computer but the cpu psu gpu and mobo... and its still no go... so it must be a problem with those thing... so im trying to find a way to rule out the cpu...

Your system would crash or shutdown because of overheating. Use a program such as HWmonitor to monitor your temperature. There is always a chance of your heatsink not being attached correctly. Either you buy new thermal paste or buy a new heatsink.
