Maybe so, but I'm an Intel person. After all the years of AMD making processors that you could cook an egg on, I'm reluctant to use their stuff unless I've got a half dozen fans running full blast. Frankly, I don't want all that noise. Xeons have always treated me right. I still have one Pc with an old Xeon P2 that I bought in '97 that still works perfectly with thousands of days of operation with not one complaint to speak of. Maybe when AMD has a few more years under their belt making cool running processors then I'll give them another look.

well of course you have your choice, but i wouldnt make such an uninformed statement like that as your reason for not using opterons. you cna look at any of the tech sites on the web and easily figure out alot has changed in the last 3 years. quiet and cool are key features of amd now, you want to talk heat, talk prescotts.

i know there are alot of intel users out there that say the same thing, that no matter what ppl say, intel is still better, but relaly its just avoiding the facts to make an excuse for your brand loyalty. ive used intel and amd system side by side for years, but this tiem i have opted to not get anything prescott related for now.

im just saying its time some of those ppl had a bit more of an open mind.

I am an open minded guy now i think for all platforms,

Intel / AMD / MAC

We ended up with a Powerbook Laptop anyways 😛

Turns out the router that he was useing Just Crapped out!

Any recomendations for a Router thats good for a PC and a MAC???
