Does anybody know anything about the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514? I want to buy a new monitor mostly for graphics and video editing and I see this monitor is within my price range. Any other recomandations are wellcomed.

I'm considering an upgrade from a VM Pro 410, so I'd be interested in an opinion as well.

I can give you a view on Iiyama in general. I've been buying Iiyama units for both home and work since 1995 (probably over twenty 17" and 19" screens). The early 17" units had a niggle with the grille drifting out of position somehow (wobbling the monitor a bit usually fixed this). After about 8 years of use, one screen has just developed a convergence problem, and another is very flakey powering up out of standby mode. Considering these screens get 8hrs/day 5 days a week use, this isn't a bad record! Support is excellent. We had a next day swapout when monitor turned up with a scratch on the screen. As for image quality, I've yet to find a 17" or 19" screen that surpasses the VM Pro range (maybe the Mitsubishi tubes would, but I've not tried those yet).

I am using the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514 for CAD, games and graphics and I am very disappointed with the focus in 1600x1200 at 80Hz and above. These problems also appear in other resolution at higher refreshrates. I also own a Vison Master Pro 450 which delivers a sharper image 🙁 I never had any problems with Iiyama before.
I got the 514 two times replaced by the service and also heard of some other guy with identical focus problems.
Maybe someone else could post his experience with this monitor, than I could try a third replacement.
