i5 8400
rx 5700 xt (the card im getting)
b360m motherboard
2x 8gb ddr4 ram
4 fans
a lot of usb devices

All the psu calculators i did told me under 500 is good but amd reccomends 600. I was thinking i might be fine because the rest of my pc is not super high end but i am a little scared of what could happen

The CWT in question could be great, but it may not. CWT oems tons of models of varying quality.

So, perhaps my own knowledge of product availability trumped my mouth.

When the OP said he had a CWT in a pre-built PC, I immediately knew (or assumed) what it was because the only CWT branded PSUs out there in pre-builds are in iBuyPower/CyberPowerPC and the minimum model is the GPK platform. In fact, most recently they've been using the GPS series.

So I stand by what I said: The CWT he has today is better than the EVGA W1 he was looking to buy.

I also tend to foget about the N1 series. I think they only made one production run of them, they all failed and were returned and we haven't seen them again since. Because I honestly can't say I've ever "seen one in the wild".
They are still on pcpp. The 400w one is one of the cheapest there. It literally has a voltage switch and no power switch, features that sound like a psu from many years ago.

Mainly why i didnt post the comment originally.

I certainly knew you had a reson for the comment based on your prior knowled and experience, but i still believe it is misleading to the uninformed (me) and the explanation really needs to be with it.
