Hey Tom Hardware crew needing some more assistance here.

I had just recently finished my new build however I am having stability issues with my ram at higher frequencies. My current ram is the CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 32GB 6400MHz CL36 Intel XMP in White (CMH32GX5M2B6400C36W).

My board is the ROG B650-A Gaming WiFi paired with a Ryzen 7800X3D. So far i have gotten 2 Blue screens related to ram issues and decided to turn off XMP reducing my ram speeds back down to 4800 mhz. Looking on the Mobo's website the current RAM I have is not under the memory support. When ever i try to copy the part number of "compatible ram" it gets me nowhere and I cannot find any of the part numbers to match. Can you guys help me out?

I'm looking for white sticks and I am no expert. Watching a video of a popular content creator instructed me after setting up the system going into bios enabling XMP saving with f10 and running the system. I have a friend tell me that Ryzen has issue running frequencies above 6000 Mhz. should i slow down the speeds to 6000mhz and see what happens? Or should i find "matching" ram part numbers listed under my mobo's QVL list. Again thanks for the help. I really appreciate it

hmm ok good to know. ill also try it out with 6200MHz to see if i can throw it up any higher without problems. also, would you recommend going for 64GB of ram over 32gb? this system is mainly for gaming with little to no work.
As long as with higher frequency doesn't go higher latency, it's OK.
Work may make use of less or more memory depending on which work, 32GB should be good for gaming for next few years, that also depends on particular game but if you can, go ahead with 64GB, it won't hurt performance. 2x32GB, not 4x16.

Yes, slow it down to 6000 or even try with 6200MHz, that should come with lower latency so overall performance will be same. Also check if you have latest BIOS version as that often addresses memory problems.

There are no Corsair 6400 kits on the QVL period (this doesn't mean they can't work fine just that they haven't been tested). If you're running the latest BIOS it should be stable at 6400, but a low latency 6000 kit is probably the safest bet.
okay excellent thank you. I'll try it at 6000 and let you know thank you.
