APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within the next 2 - 3 weeks

BUDGET RANGE: <= $450 ($500 max)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Streaming, light gaming, other general usage

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: EVGA RTX 2070, Corsair SF600

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS:

Case: Fractal Design Terra
PSU: Corsair SF600
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-I
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i
Storage: 1TB WD Black SN700, 1 TB Intel 660P
GPU: EVGA RTX 2070

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Any USA site will do. Prefer Newegg and Amazon, but sites like B&H are acceptable. The Southern California Micro Center is a short drive from where I live.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA, California

PARTS PREFERENCES: NVIDIA is fine, I am looking at the 4060TI Founder's Edition. Waiting to see what the Radeon 7700 / 7800 series bring to the table.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Currently 1920 x 1080 (1080P), but in the process of upgrading to 4K 120Hz OLED

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: GPU must be able to fit in mini ITX case (Fractal Design Terra, see specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GrMMnQ/fractal-design-terra-mini-itx-desktop-case-fd-c-ter1n-01 ). I may upgrade my PSU to the Corsair SF1000L if necessary. The Terra is rated to fit up to a 3090 but large GPUs are a tight fit. GPU must be able to output to 4K 120Hz through DP or through 4K/8K HDMI. I was interested in the Intel Arc A770 but it seems those are no longer available.

Nvidia has introduced 4060Ti 16GB.
Opinions of it are not high which is strange.
Usually YT Tech channels complain that in 2023 and in next couple of so years.16GB should be minimum.
Now it might be true that in most games differce is insignificant, but in games that require over 8GB VRAM, 16GB model should prove benneficial.
Especially long term.
Cheapest I can find is 499 and it is 3 fans.
It can fit inside with 4cm(1" equal 2.54cm)space left in lenght

NVIDIA's website has the Founder's Edition for $399: https://store.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/store/?page=1&limit=9&locale=en-us&category=GPU,DESKTOP

Now if someone could explain that to Nvidia haters would be splended.
Mid-long term it shall be more and more pronunced.
For 399 it might be best relatively low budget deal on the market.
40% is MASSIVE difference,I bet in such titles where 8gigs or 10 gigs or 12gigs is not enough it matches or beats 4070,but not 4070Ti.
Long to very long term it might help 4060Ti against 4070 not as an exception, but as a rule.

7800xt wait and see what it does first ..price and performance ..
the 4060 16gbs smaller bus size nerfs performance ( yes other than the 4090 im a Nvidia hater :) )

For the sake of a month or 2 you may find yourself with a better GPU in the 7800xt or not but money wasted is not as good as money well spent !!

Not 4060,but 4060Ti.
IF 4060Ti 16GB Founders Edition can be purchased for 399$ from Nvidia website, even Nvidia hater should admit it's a great deal.

Yeah I’m definitely waiting to see what the 7800XTs bring to the table.
