HDD...
the intel optane is in the M.2 ssd section, yes. but thats a bundle. its a 16gb ssd cache with 1tb HDD. if u select a 1tb in HDD/secondary HDD section that means u have a normal 1tb along with a optane cached 1tb = 2x 1tb. hope this makes it clear. the other reason for not able to select a HDD maybe ur drive bay limitaion in the case ? didnt read ur full config TL;DR XD

this is the entire thing
The optane isn't an option in the HDD section, it's only in the M2SDD section, but the optane is only available as a combo, and at the same time i must have something selected in the HDD section, so if i want optane i need to also have two HDDs

HD_M2SSD: 16GB Intel® Optane™ Memory Accelerator M.2 PCIe NVMe + 1TB SATA III Hard Drive Combo [ARRAY MODE] [+105] (OS Drive) this is the optane cached 1tb HDD combo
HD_PCIE1X_SSD: None this is the SSD section
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [-40] (Single Drive) this is ur 2nd normal 1tb HDD
HDD2: None this is ur secondary HDD, if u choose one, it becomes ur 3rd HDD

so what do i actually need? what does cached mean? i'm very very new to all this still

a intel optane cached 1tb HDD is like a faster HDD. not to the level of SSD, but faster than ur average HDD. caching means storing frequently used files or acting as a buffer/linking device to fasten things up.
this is kinda like a SSHD ybrid drive, but this one is cutting edge new tech.

dunno how well optane works. its still new. so u can take a leap of faith n keep the optane bundle alone if 1tb is sufficient for u or go for a 1tb HDD in HDD section and choose a 240gb WD blue or samsung 960 in the M.2 section.

Could i have a 4k monitor with my set up? i don't really know how that works

I accidentally marked the question as solved so just ignore that. Yeah I don't think I really care enough about having 4K to upgrade anything for it, I've played games in regular HD for so long I can wait a little longer lol. But otherwise I think I'm ready to order the PC, should I post the specs once more just for a look over?

well my build got erased so i guess you should go ahead and give me that ryzen build lol

Discount code SPRING0410 is 5% off so takes it down to $1138.

Buy your mouse , hdmi cable , monitor & speakers separately elsewhere & you have a rock solid system for around $1350-1400.

The 1070 from cyberpower is absolutely not worth the extra $269 for the founders model mate.

A 580 4gb is around $200 , a 1070 can be had for $350 or so from other retailers.

Done very very quick on mobile just to give you an idea.

Once I get my laptop operational again I will make this build, do you have an suggestions for the monitor, keyboard, speakers, and cables I may need? I already have a razer deathadder, I don't need a different mouse

Lucky for me I already have a headset, so I can strike that off the total, other than that it seems good to me.
