HDD...
To be fair you get a basic keyboard with it .
The speakers , the z313 I listed awhile back are decent , go nice & loud too.

Monitors - depends what you want to spend.
The one lucky has posted is nice seeing as a ryzen+580 is capable of upto 100fps in a fair few titles.

HDMI cable ?? For 1080p just about any

😀 I think the technical term for that is "gaming". But you gave a nice definition for it.

Suggestions for keyboard could be interesting, I'm in the market for a new one myself! I've been most happy with my 1997 model Mitsumi PS/2 keyboard that is extremely basic, even at the time and probably was the cheapest one in the store. Interestingly it was still ~best as keyboards go some 10 years back, a Logitech I have that costs at least twice as much does not have nearly as nice a feeling to the keys. But I suspect future generations of PCs will drop the PS/2 port and also this particular keyboard now literally has holes in the keys.

Is it worth looking at any semi-fancy gaming keyboards (I'd probably turn off any flashy lighting)? Is there any usable functionality - I never considered macros, they would work better in software I think and often would be against EULA though. My G5 gaming mouse from Logitech is quite OK, I never used the sniper functionality but the adjustable weights are kind of nice, maybe not so essential.

For speakers, I recommend connecting to a stereo set. I did that around 1990 and haven't looked back. EDIT: Took a quick look at what they have at the local store and again I'm not convinced at all. Even a Genelec G One + Asus Xonar U7 combo uses USB and probably won't deliver nearly the experience as a good old stereo set despite setting you back some $500. If you want quality sound you probably get 4x the bang for buck from a pair of good headphones. Other than that it's best to look for stereo equipment which I guess is pretty niche today - one major market with actual consumers on it is home theaters and you probably don't need one, you already have the PC. (But anybody actually use a home theater system with PC, there must be some of you out there?)

Where do you suggest I order my other stuff from, would amazon work?

Yeah im going with the build madmatt gave me, do the peripherals change?

What do you actually want monitor wise.
Do you want 27inch or 144htz?
There are some good 75htz 24inch freesync panels around the $150 mark.

If you go with the ryzen build don't miss the $50 and rebate & the spring discount code.
Together they're $110 off.

The case was picked quickly just because it has an optical bay & prefitted intake/exhaust fans - swap it if you like.

Vice versa the gammaxx cooler (its the best price /performance cooler there is IMO).

You do not actually need an aftermarket cooler but I saw no option to just use the included amd one (the ryzen 1600 should come with a very good wraith spire cooler)

I have ordered everything I need, thank you all very much for helping me
