A more interesting news article would point out that Hodgman is impersonating an actual MS employee who Apple apparently thinks is nerdy looking and a good target for worldwide ridicule. What a great corporate ethos they have over there at Apple.
 
I still think the ads are stupid and fail to advertise their product. The apple EULA that you have to buy their hardware to use their software is more nazi than anything microsoft ever attempted.
 
This doesn't surprise me. Even Apple won't do a fair PC fan vs. Mac fan commercial. It's just Mac fan pretending to be a PC fan and failing on purpose vs. a Mac fan. So one-sided, but I wouldn't expect anything better from Apple.
 
since when is steve jobbs not a nerd? he exemplifies the typical above 20's aged mac nerd, which typically are annoying arrogant people who know nothing about computers or being sociable
 
On the opposite side, the people in the "...and I'm a PC" Microsoft commercials, like their generic Microsoft Windows based PC's. Are the Mac fans shocked?
 
This article is not news. Now what would have been a shocker is if Justin Long (dude who plays Mac) actually came out of the closet in real life came out of the closet and revealed he prefers Windows XP over Mac OSX.

Then watch Steve Jobs promptly appear on set from out of nowhere and yell BOOM! as he knees Long to the groin. Now THAT would be a commercial!!!
 
If you watch the Diggnation episode, he says he's been a Mac user since 1984, so the Apple SWAG from the first commercial did not introduce him to apple computers. Just remember he's an actor for a commercial.

In the episode, he was using a Mac Air and says he likes supporting Apple.

I completely agree. Apple is like a little devil that you worry might get big some day. The better of the two evils (Microsoft) will keep apple at bay on the OS/PC camp, and Google/Android will end the totalitarian stranglehold they were getting on the smart phone sector.
 
You mean the commercials aren't real? I knew the shows weren't real (except for Survivor), but now the commercials aren't real either? What's the world coming to? Next, I suppose we'll find out that politicians don't tell the truth either or that experts don't know everything or that Tom Cruise's big fat smile isn't genuine or that religions are just stories that someone made up one day. From now on, I'm only going to listen to information that's true and unbiased, like the articles in TV Guide.
 
Let's see. He's an actor. Actors are known more for their creativity than their grasp of logic. I would expect an actor to like something that is pretty and unnecessarily expensive.
 
Maybe MAC should hire Mike Judge to write Beavis & Butt-head sketches for MAC vs PC. I'd like to see Beavis having a seizure when he's watching a porn on Windows Vista and it blue screens, lags, etc. Butt-head on the MAC.
