I'd appreciate any input on this. I'm having an issue with thumbnails not showing ONLY on my desktop.

I have done the following:
1, DISK CLEANUP having THUMBNAILS checked and other options cleared. Deleted Files.
2. Open Start.
  1. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  2. Type the following command to stop File Explorer and press Enter: taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
  3. Type the following command to delete all the thumbnail database files without prompt for confirmation and press Enter: del /f /s /q /a %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\thumbcache_*.db
  4. Type the following command to start File Explorer and press Enter: start explorer.exe
3. Restore thumbnails preview (FYI THIS WAS ALREADY DESELECTED WHEN I OPENED IT)
  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Click on the View tab.
  3. Click Options to open Folder Options.
  4. Click on the View tab.
  5. Clear the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" option.
4. Refreshed desktop

Here's an image that shows the issue. I can see the thumbnails in Explorer on the desktop but not on the actual desktop.

What "View" options are available?

Are you able to select and change the icon sizes?

I.e.: Small, Medium, Large?

Will the size change? If not, is there some error message or pop-up window?
That fixed it! None of the choices were selected. Selecting anything forced the thumbnail. Thanks so much!
