[SOLVED] Improve PC

My Son has this PC, Cyberpower GMA490 3.6 GHz AMD Ryzen 5 2400G Quad-Core 8GB DDR4 | 2TB 7200 rpm HDD, Integrated Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics DVI, Windows 10 Home (64-Bit).

I put in a MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GT OCV1 Graphics Card

What can I get him to improve this PC?

OK, Everything's working great! I put in the new PSU, GPU, RAM and replaced the 2 fans with 3 corsair RGB Fans. Now he wants better lighting inside the case... OMG!!!

He wants upgrade his AMD Ryzen 5 2400G to a AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Will this work in his PC?

More then likely it should but will probably require a motherboard BIOS update.

He wants upgrade his AMD Ryzen 5 2400G to a AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Will this work in his PC?

It will work, though, a 2600 is about 85-90% of the performance of a 3600, but for much less money.

Still, the 2400G is a 4 core, 8 thread CPU. I don't know how much benefit he plans to get from this.

Before putting anything else in - WHY does he want the CPU upgraded? What problems, if any, are exhibiting themselves? Or is it just a case of he thinks he needs a new CPU, or a friend has told him, or perhaps "outdone" him on the "who has the best CPU" category?

Yep, you need to do the BIOS update prior to installing the new CPU. But updating the BIOS does not make the system incompatible with the current CPU.
