im using i5 2500, which is a really old cpu, but with only a little budget, thats all i got. But since the patch 2.0 of PUBG released, i cant play it stable 60fps anymore, so i want to upgrade it to a K version( 2500k)
btw, im using gigabyte b75 motherboard, if i OC the 2500k with this motherboard, how many percent would it increase? is that worth the price ?
thnx all for helping !

You won;t be able to take advantage of the unlocked multiplier OC'ing with the 2500K on that board. So with either the 2500 or the 2500K, you will be limited to what you can get with the Bclk increases. Usually that will be a few 100 MHz max. What Gigabyte B75 board do you have exactly?

What gfx card are you using to play PUBG?
What is the CPU usage (%) while you game?
What is the GPU usage (%) while you game?

im thinking about the xeon e3 1230v2, do u think thats a good idea ?
Once I knew the exact board you had, I was going to suggest going to a 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) instead if possible. So, yes... moving to one of the faster i7-3xxx processors or their Xeon equivalents would be the wiser choice. Be sure to update the board's BIOS first, of course.
The Xeon would be fine as long as you don't ever see yourself needing the integrated graphics. Like if your gfx card dies or something until you can replace it.

It does indeed appear that the venerable i5-2500 can't keep up since the CPU usage is showing maxed out while the GPU has some headroom left. The 3rd gen 4C/8T processor should fix that.
My one machine still has a i7-3770 running a GTX 1070. It can keep up with it most of the time... although there is occasional CPU bottleneck at times. But not enough for me to move to a lesser card. The Xeon E3 1230 V2 is only 100 MHz slower and should keep up with any card you have less than my 1070.

I'd suggest the E3-1270 v2. It's basically the same as an i7-3770. Either will show marked improvement. Depends on how the prices are going. Sometimes the Xeons are less expensive than the i7's, sometimes not. Just do not be tempted by the S or T versions, you want the standard i7-3770 or i7-3770K.

i see the e1270 v1 is on low price, is it still fit my game ?
Yes. It will fit your board. Here is the CPU support list for your board along with the necessary BIOS (or later) that you will need for the CPU to be recognized.
B75M-DV3 (rev 1.0)
B75M-DV3 (rev 1.1)
Be sure to verify which rev your board is before updating the BIOS if needed. The rev number is usually found on the corner nearest the expansion slots on Gigabyte boards.

But, we have a problem here, i watch alot of testing videos on Youtube, specially the i5 3470 vs e3 1230v2.
the result is 3470 win, but it only have 4 cores and 4 threads, same clock...
i noticed that the 3470 always full load and the 1230v2 is only at ~80%
is there any way to make it run at it best potencial ?

The 4C/8T CPU is slightly better in almost every way than the 4C/4T CPU. Maybe the games you watched were not able to utilize Hyper threading very well. Or were limited to 4 cores or less.

The reason the 4C/4T CPU was at 100% usage and the 4C/8T CPU was ~80% is because the latter still has some headroom left, while the 4C/4T CPU is giving it all it's got to keep up.
