As the title says, I am in need of a cheap GPU that can run Overwatch at about 20-30 FPS on Medium settings. Or 35-50 on Low settings. Im quite new to PC gaming and I took my current computer from my aunt, so I have absolutely no experience in building computers, or even installing simple things like Drivers, so if you could, please leave a suggesting down below. I will be posting my Motherboard, RAM, and CPU after I post this.

My current GPU is an AMD 7560D, which is below minimum requirements. I dont think what brand of RAM I have matters, but I have 8g of DDR3. My motherboard is an MSI with the model # of MS-7721. My CPU is an AMD APU 5600K Quad Core. Everything I have can run Overwatch, but my GPU is falling behind. If anybody could post a suggestion about what card to upgrade to, that would be amazing!

gtx 1050 easily

make sure you buy a version that does not need a 6-pin pcie cable ( your psu may or may not have one, double check )

and that you have at least a 300w power supply

Yes that makes a huge difference as 720p is less than half as demanding as 1080p.

Ok, you don't currently have a "graphics card", just the AMD 7560D on your APU. Are you sure you only want 20-30fps? If so an RX 550 would be more than enough, but I don't know if an $80 card fits with your request for a "cheap gpu"?

Im honestly just looking for a cheap fix so that I can play one of my favorite games on PC. I would like more more than 20-30 FPS, but im fine with anything above or in-between 20-30. But honestly I wanna get something that is cheap, and works well with what im trying to get.

Yes it is but you need to check your PSU connections to see if theres a pcie connector.

How in the hell do I do that? Sorry, but im kinda retarded when it comes to stuff like this.

Yeah its overkill but why spend money on an outdated card when you could get something that can actually handle todays games for like $20-30 more. You can get a 1050 for $100. A more appropriate choice would be Radeon HD 6xxx series but finding those cards today would be hard and not very worth it when you could just get a brand new 1050 that could be easily carried over into a new updated build, if op were to do that.

Open up the computer and look at all the unused connectors and search for the one that is labeled "pcie" or looks exactly like the picture another poster posted above

Do you mind buying used? If not, it's the best way to get a cheap card. You don't want a really old card as they usually use more power for the same performance and would require a PCIe power connector. A card like the R7 250 or GTX 750 would still be more then enough, and they usually don't require any power connectors.

open the case and look, i posted a picture of what it looks like

make sure the power supply is at least 300w with a 6-pin. it will have a sticker on it with the info

if it doesnt have a 6-pin then make sure whatever 1050 you buy does not need one, there are some that dont

I dont, but I heard from a friend that they dont usually work as well.

You should just post the solid amount youre willing to spend, itll be easier for people to send you suggestions.

There is always a risk buying used, but most of the time it's just someone who has upgraded and are selling their perfectly good card.

The most im willing to spend is like 100-120 or something.

Yeah no doubt the gtx 1050 is the best bet and you dont even have to spend 120. Any older card would be a complete waste of money. Id recommend this one (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126169) or the MSI since they typically have better cooling and im assuming the pc case you have doesnt have the best airflow (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137058)

This is the PSU I have ^^, but as you can see it has a small little extension on it, I dont know if that matters or not.

it doesnt, its there for 8 pins but works fine with 6 pin, the other 2 pins are just left hanging. i dont think 1050s need power anyways

then you are good to go

you can get any 1050 you want
