In which PCI-E slot should I plug my GPU?

Hello there everyone.
I have been trying to improve cable management more. As you know that excessive wires are somehow connected to the bottom part of Mobo. I have a full window case so I am quite worried about that. So I decided to plug my GPU into the last slot,Which will help in suppressing the wires rather than sticking through the window.
Need your help as the first slot is x16 if I use the other slot will it affect the performance.
Pls:- Dont exaggerate if not a huge deal don't make me worry 😉

It all depends on what board you have, often the last slot is at X4 speed which will hamper performance.

Most motherboard manufacturers recommend that you use the first slot for single cards... since that guarantees peak performance.
