Question Inaccessible boot device error blue screen

Hi guys,

Really having the worst Sunday atm..

Been getting the inaccessible boot device error for about 5 hours now and have tried every tutorial under the sun to try and resolve it.

I cannot even reset by PC from the troubleshoot menu as I get the error 'There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made.'

I am not sure how I can post my specs from outside my pc but any help would be really appreciated as I am honestly close to chucking it out the window...

What does you system run on a hd? Your hd may have died. Can you check it on another pc? Also can you get into advanced boot option and restore to last good configuration, or restore?

Hi man, when I went into the command prompt and typed DIR on my drives, none of them had 'programme files' etc....is this a sign of a dead hard drive ??

Also have no way other PCs to test on and cant restore / reset as no previous backups

I installed a couple of games onto my SSD, started getting error message consisting of loads of 0000's and was told to terminate the programmes. Then kind of went 'poof' and had this problem since.

bought it second hand, only came with cables...

I would do a fresh full clean install of windows 10 and if you still have problems than your SSD is faulty

Go into bios and make sure your hd is still the boot device. With pc off take the ssd out and try to restart. See what happens.

boot drive changed, still getting error with ssd removed...

So you will have to use a thumb drive and do a window fresh install then. Since your drives are working you probably corrupted your os.

one last thing to try. Go into bios, set the settings to default/original settings and restart see if anything changes.
