Question Inconsistent Monitor Burn

I work from home using a 3 monitor setup. Essentially for the monitors, I have two cables running from each, one to my desktop, one to my work laptop dock. At the end of the day I just switch monitor inputs and press my USB switch to swap my mouse and keyboard over, and boom, laptop to desktop complete.

However, I recently got a new work laptop with a new dock. And I quickly noticed something. 2 of my monitors are identical Dells that use HDMI to the work laptop, and a DP cable to my desktop.

Both monitors on DP? All good. Left monitor on HDMI? Good. Right monitor on HDMI? Now gets burn-in of spreadsheets throughout the day, so I often use the LCD conditioning on it when I switch to DP for personal use at night to clear it before

So why is one of my identical monitors getting burn in ever since I got a new laptop? What are my possible variables? Is it the HDMI cord? The monitor itself? The laptop dock? The new laptop software? Any ideas?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information for desktop and laptop.

Monitors: Make and model for all three monitors? Dell noted for two of the monitors.

Methodically swap cables, then monitors about in order to determine if the burn-in definitely follows the monitor, follows the cable, or stays with laptop connection.
