^Agreed. I have my E2180 @3.2Ghz on a P35-DS3L. Could go higher but temps become too high for my liking. (Currently running on a OCZ Vanquisher I got for <$10. Temps are 66C on Prime95+Orthos at the same time)

Here are the 3.2Ghz results:

The help so far has been wonderful, thanks for all the replies guys. It seems like I'll be ordering this from newegg when they get the video cards in.

If anyone has anymore comments I'll keep checking back.

like i said before amd black to 3.3ghz. and that's with less than .1v overvolt, you can get up to 3.0 without ANY extra power... but i mean, hey, it's your build. 😛 that and it's only 100 bucks now if you didn't already build your pc

Too bad the 5000+ BE at 3.3 Ghz is much slower than the cheaper $30 cheaper E2140. Oh, you don't need to buy a Cooler for the E2140 to hit 3.2 Ghz. :>

But hey, who cares if you spend more, get less.
We all really need to partake in corporate welfare and buy AMD CPUs.
We as a community need to all buy from AMD to help keep them afloat.

That is why AMD has setup this special site to further help this cause.

haha, i don't think amd set up that site... but that's kinda funny. and you don't need to buy a cooler, i'd prolly put a fan on it if you want to step up the .1v. and i dunno where you got the idea about the 2140... last time i looked the oc'd amd was tested at 3.3 (slower memory than 3.2) and it held up pretty well against some of the higher end cpu's. and the be is only 100 bucks. so the 2140 is 70 bucks now? hmm.... no integrated memory controller though, that's all on the mobo... and i last time i checked comperable mobo's on the intel side were a bit more expensive. but it's been a while since i went with intel. I'm always happy with my amd's. i always buy the unlocked ones.

not to mention that none of the ocing abilities of the black edition depend on the motherboard. (save for the .1v) and i think small overvolts are almost standard as included.
