So I am trying to make a budget gaming build for my girlfriend and here is what I have so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/K4DjvK . I'm not exactly sure on what games she will be playing but the games she loves to play on my computer are dayz, minecraft, gary's mod, tombraider, castle crashers, and I know she will get sims 4 so all those games she will most likely get. I wasn't to sure on everything in the build and just wanted to run it past people and see what you all say about it or and tell me if I should keep things or change things out? Also the reason I only put 1 stick of 4GB ram in the build is because at the moment she only has an old VGA monitor. Within a year maybe around black Friday time she will be upgrading her monitor to a decent 1080p one so I figured to save money now (because every penny counts when your a broke college student) to only go with the one stick and get the second stick whenever she gets the new monitor becasuse I was told that 4GB is ok for most games but if she gets a 1080p monitor shes going to want 8GB otherwise there will be noticeable decrease in her gaming experience. So again if someone could just please look the build over and either tell me it's good to go or make some suggestions in swapping parts out.

For the games you listed, even the recommended specs are only 4gb of ram, and as you said she can always buy another stick later. Just make sure it's the *exact* same ram stick so you don't run into compatibility issues. I always recommend AMD solutions for budget builds, because you get more cores for your money and 3.5GHz is a very good clock speed. This will give her great performance for the budget, let me know what you think.
