Install ssd and windows 10 on older computer

I want to eliminate my old hdd and windows 7 and install a new ssd and windows 10. What steps do I need to take ?

It wasn't upgraded. I didn't know about tge free upgrade until it was too late.

OK. For some reason, I thought you already had.
So, a new Win 10 Home OS will be $90-$110.

Microsoft called me back and straightened it out. All is good now.
