Hey fellas.

So I've recently built a new PC, specs are;

Asus x470 prime mobo
Corsair vs650 power supply
Gtx 1060 6gb
Ryzen 5 2600 CPU

I built it yesterday and it all worked fine, I was a tad concerned about air flow so I decided to add another case fan. I have plenty of room for it in the case.
So I install the fan and go to turn it back on and no dice, I took the fan back off and tried to run it how it was, same again nothing.
The motherboard lights up but no fan including the CPU spins or anything like that, I get no beeps nothing. It's almost as if there's no power, the front panel is all plugged in and I literally changed nothing but added a fan.
The components are all brand new as well.
I'm so confused and frustrated any help is hugely appreciated!

Corsair VS-series PSUs are low quality PSUs and here, it looks like that's the issue. Also, cross your fingers and hope that your PSU didn't fry anything else it was connected to, since MoBo is usually 1st to go when PSU goes sky high.

This time, don't cheap out on PSU anymore and get a good quality unit. For your system, any Seasonic unit in 500W range will do just fine. E.g: Focus 550, Focus+ 550, PRIME Snowsilent 550 or PRIME Ultra 550 Platinum

Warranty wise:
Focus: 7 years
Focus+: 10 years
PRIME: 12 years (includes all PRIME models: regular, Fanless, AirTouch, SnowSilent, Ultra)

All my 3 PCs: Skylake, Haswell and AMD are also powered by Seasonic. Full...
