I just installed MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti [1] replacing [ASUS GeForce 9500 GT][2]
I know the new card can run 4k and my display is a 4k tv.
When I try to change the screen resolution to the recommended setting 3840 X 2160 and press apply okay. It states the resolution is 3840 X 2160, but when I go back to my screen resolution setting I see my resolution is back to 1920 x 1080.
I also went to Nvidia Control Panel and try to change the resolution to 4k x 2k, 3840 x 2160 (native) the screen goes black and reappears and res. setting is still 1080p, 1920 x 1080
Not sure why I can't seem to make my computer to display in 4k.
This is the rest of my specs:
[VIZIO SmartCast™
E-Series 43" 4k version Display][3].
[Intel Core i7-870 Lynnfield Quad-Core 2.93 GHz CPU][4]
[ASUS P7P55D-E Pro LGA 1156 Motherboard][5]

[Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner][7]
