Question Installed new gpu, but no output to monitor

I upgraded my graphics card and motherboard. I had a new install of Windows on my C: (SSD) which ran fine and I got to the desktop with no problems, installed all the required drivers and the system was detecting my new gpu with no problems. I have 3 other hard drives, 2 SSD and 1 HDD I had to connect so I shutdown the PC and connected these additional drives. Now nothing is outputting to my monitors. I disconnected the additional drives and tried again only with my C:, but still there is zero output so I can't access the BIOS settings or safe mode or anything. The monitors work fine and I have checked the cables. I have also checked that I haven't knocked any cables out while connecting the other drives.

What's strange is that this is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time round I installed the gpu and the new motherboard. When the issue occurred, I swapped out the motherboard back to my old one and everything went swimmingly up until I reconnected those additional drives. I just don't understand what those drives could be doing to cause an issue. I was using them perfectly fine. I formatted the C:, and only backed up the others.

I have been trying to fix this issue for nearly 5 days and have tried everything Google and YT could suggest. Would really appreciate some help with anyone has anything to suggest please.

My specs are:

Ryzen 7 5800
MSI Ventus RTX 4060
Original MOBO Asus A320M-R
New MOBO Asus A320M-K
600w EVGA PSU
2x8GB RAM

it's possible that your system is expecting a different drive since you had others connected at one time.

if this is an issue with your system expecting a different boot drive then you may need to reset CMOS on your motherboard to default back to it's original setting(s).

if you booted from a drive with an old OS install using a new motherboard a lot of issues can arise over time.

i tried removing my CMOS battery and I left it for about an hour. With only my main C drive plugged in, I put the CMOS battery back in and it did boot and its working! I haven't tried putting the other hard drives back in however I only need 1 extra one which I'm currently using in an internal hard drive enclosure.
Thank you for your help 😀
