Installed SQL Server 2005 and doesnt work

So, i just installed SQL server 2005 on my new server and now, if anyone is familiar with ACT! software, i try installing ACT! and it tells me that it cannot connect to my SQL server. Any suggestions?

Well given the amount of options and the complexity of SQL Server without much detail it'd be hard to say.

Not sure what you've done, but I would guess the security isn't setup correctly and SQL Server is refusing the connection from ACT!.

Is ACT! asking for an account to log into the SQL Server? Can you even connect to it with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)?

SOLVED: It was a bad install. Re-installed and it connects fine.
