Installed an SSD. All apps were moved over, whilst keeping regular files on my HDD.
Everytime I use premiere pro, i get this 'error retrieving frame .. ' error.
However not only that, but my Steam, Firefox AND Spotiy crashes. Spotify just freezes, Firefox comes up with a crash report, and steam just closes itself down.
My Premiere Pro is on my SSD, and my files i use to edit are on the Harddrive. Nobody has an error like mine, i've searched up many times. Im very confused !

RX 5600 XT
R5 2600
16GB DDR4 3000 MHZ RAM

500GB HDD
500GB Western Digital SSD

How did you "moved" apps from one disk to another? Did you clone one disk into the other?

In Windows, you cannot just move a program file or folder from one disk into another.
Besides the main program files, there will be files located in dozens of places on the hard drive.
The program file locations are saved in Windows during installation of the program and if you moved it , the program would fail to work properly.
To be successful, you either clone a disk into another disk or uninstall the program then re-install it and select another disk for its location.

I have seen that error when someone just move a program from is original location.

I cloned it, sorry for not mentioning that.

This drive used to be the OS drive?
It now has a different drive letter.

Trying to open a file that Premier knows about will result in the errors you're seeing.

Yeah, previously I only had the HDD, with the OS being on there. I cloned the files onto the SSD and reinstalled windows 10 onto the SSD and then removed it from the HDD, having the PC only to booth with the SSD.

Can you explain the cloning procedure and which program you used to perform the cloning?
You might be confusing moving files with cloning.

When you clone the content of a disk into another disk, you make an exact replica.
The OS and programs will work the same way on both disks.

Macrium reflect. Cloned everything from HDD to SSD. Took HDD out. Booted PC with only SSD. Put HDD back in. Erased everything HDD. Moved the previously copied files from SSD to HDD

Apps, OS, Softwares in SSD, Files in HDD.

Which file folders did you moved.

When you moved folders (e.g Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc.) created by Windows to a new location, you should right-click the folder, select Properties , click the Location tab and browse or type the new location.
That way Windows can direct apps to the new folder and files location.
If you moved the folders without following those steps, then Windows and apps might not know the location of the folder and files.

Yeah at first i would make the folder and copy/paste files over untill i found out about the location thing, then i did that for all folders .
