I had Windows 10 Pro on my old computer with a digital license. I didn't realize I had Pro and selected Home when I just did a fresh install on a new computer. I tried to activate my digital license but it obviously won't let me since I'm using the wrong version. Is there an easy way to upgrade Home to Pro and then link my digital license or do I have to do it all over again?

Applying a valid Pro license to a Home install will automatically upgrade it to Pro.
No reinstall needed.

I have a digital license. It isn't allowing me to sign in to Microsoft to link the account. I go into settings>activision, it says windows is not active. I do the troubleshooter and click I changed hardware on this device recently. I get "We can’t find any devices linked to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you’re using right now. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you linked to the Windows 10 digital license on this device or try again later."

I made sure on my old computer it said "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account"
