[SOLVED] Installing a DAS for the first time, any tips or tricks?

Will be installing a Dell Storage MD1400, with already existing Del Equipment. Anybody have any experience installing these? Any tips or nuances I should look out for when installing a DAS?

The MD1400 models are specifically designed to work with the PowerEdge servers using the PERC9 series of RAID controllers.

So to clarify.
HBA is plugged into server, then cables from the HBA are run into the Storage unit?

Then most of the actual configuration is done on the DAS itself or can you remote connect to it from the server?
Thank you for your time, first time dealing with network storage.
