Installing DDR 667 on a DDR 400 mobo

Hello All
I have a motherboard Ausu a8n-vm which is said to support up to DDR 400.

Is it possible to install on this board DDR 667?

will it fit to the slot?

will it work?

and will it reduce performance?

DDR and DDR2's "notches" are in different places so it wont even fit in the DIMM

ddr2 is 240 pin. ddr is 184 pin.

Listen to what the others said. You can't install DDR 667 (which is a specific speed of DDR2) in DDR 400 slots. You'll need DDR RAM, which normally comes in speeds of 266, 333, and 400. 400 will obviously be fastest. Unfortunately, DDR RAM is considerably more expensive than DDR2 RAM.
