Installing floppy drive using a different psu

I'm trying to install windows xp on my sata drive in a raid config. Since you need to load extra drivers to do this, i want to temporarily connect an old floppy drive to my system.

However, my psu does not have a power cable for floppy drives :D So now i want to connect the floppy drive to my mainboard and use a 2nd psu just for the floppy. I dont think this will cause any problems, like killing my pc, but i just want to make sure before i plug in the power cable and start my pc.

So the question is; is this safe?

This should not cause a problem. I have used a second PSU before for extra HDD's. Just remember to power on the second PSU first.

OR just get a Molex to SAta and 4-pin Floppy adapter ( Product LINKIE )
