Installing Samsung 840 ssd into Asus G55

Hello,

I've been trying to install a new samsung 840 250gb ssd into my asus g55 laptop, however after the windows installation finishes the initial install and restarts for the first time it goes straight to the bios with 0 boot options. I'm so confused, I've tried wiping the ssd and restarting the install to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: It also seems that even when I do get boot options I can't find my ssd in my bios...
