Hi, so I bought a new motherboard, ram and cpu recently (currently being shipped) and I'm going to finally use this time to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

I was wondering if it's possible to keep my extra storage devices without reformatting etc...I have 2 ssd's which are being used for nothing but games, and then I have my OS ssd which I'm happy to reformat and reinstall Windows. Would I be able to use the games installed on my spare ssd, or will they all need to be reinstalled?

Bad internet so I don't really feel like downloading 500gb+ of games

Steam games, yes. You just have to tell the new Steam client the location of those games.
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

Other games? Probably need to be reinstalled.

Install the OS with ONLY the single drive connected. Reconnect the other ones after.

Which OS is this? If Win 10, Read and do this before you change any parts:

Okay perfect, 99% of my games are on Steam anyway with Battlefield 1 & R6 Siege being the only ones on other Clients (however I think Origin & uPlay have the same thing)

The OS I have at the moment is Windows 7, I'll be upgrading to Windows 10 when I get my new parts, & was just wondering if I'll run into any issues.

I would just use the upgrade feature, however as far as I know you have to have a retail version & the OEM version is much cheaper.

Anyway, thanks for your answer
