Is there a way to put Windows XP on a newer laptop like my Acer? I've tried:
- Changing the BIOS (which has been updated all the way) settings to normal power mode, and the Windows XP CD won't autoload.
- Changing the BIOS to Legacy mode, and it blue screens after it's done loading the drivers but before it creates the partition with a 0x000000A5 error.
- Changing the [ACPIEnable] setting in Txtsetup.sif to 0, 1 and 2, and it's blue screened like the first case with each of these values.
I know how to use VirtualBox (which doesn't play my modern games) and I appreciate any responses on the benefits of Windows 7, but I was just wondering if there was a way to put XP back on my system.
Thanks a lot!
