installing xp via ghost2003

this is for servicing purpose:

as we all know, during the xp installation via cdrom, after all the file has been copied to hard disk, the windows setup will restart.

my question is, would it be possible for me to clone that hard disk with premature installation of windows in it to another hard disk?

would the the processed harddisk boot up and continue the installation process?

Only if it's in the same machine.

hmm. i see. so thats why during the precopy, it says "inspecting computer..." and then come up with the copying of files. that means the setup process is only particular to my machine. thank you sir.
