installoing SP2

After installing SP2 on the restart I recieve the
following message:
The application failed to start up because winsrv was not
found. The best solution to this problem is to reinstall
the application.

What is causing this problem and I do I fix it other than
reinstalling XP. Which I have done but everytime I try
to reinstall SP2 I get the same error. I need to install
SP2 so how do I work around this problem?

Hi,

Winsrv.exe is the Opaserv worm. A very old one, and is easily detected and
removed by any antivirus software.
