Intel 750 PCIe Card or SSD Form Factor?

Hello Everyone,

I am looking into building a new machine and I'd really like to graduate from a sata SSD to a PCIe SSD.

I noticed that the Intel 750 has two different models and one looks VERY similar to an SSD form factor.

I guess my questions are, which one should I get and what are the differences?

Also, this is the motherboard I am looking at... (I'm hoping to get an i7 6700k as soon as they become available/in-stock literally anywhere)

Will the Intel 750 indeed work with this mobo out of the box?

The two 750s perform the same. The ssd version needs a few converter cables. Both should work with z170 chipset out of the box.

OH, so basically the SSD form factor takes up a PCIe slot as well? It just... I guess has to capability to be hidden and run cables to the PCIe slot? That's kind of silly, but okay I guess lol.
