Disagreed.

AMD is the company that is almost all marketing and barely any substance (apart from EPYC).

Intel is trying to get back to having the most advanced manufacturing nodes, which will not only allow them to have the best products -- it will also "steal" a lot of revenue from TSMC and bring it to Intel.

Pat is right on the money with this.
So... You write for UserBenchmarks?

Regards.

This might be the fake layoffs large companies have all the time. There are always employees that are not performing to expectations. They generally have gotten a number of warnings. Since you always risk some lawsuit if you try to terminate someone for cause they just pay them off with a layoff package. The employee knows that don't play along and fight it they will then get terminated for cause. If the next prospective employer checks with the company it will be confirmed they are laid off rather than terminated with no comment as to why.
