Hello, guys i have the processor intel core i3 550 @ 3.2 ghz first generation and i wanna buy the radeon hd 7850 2gb ddr5 but i dont know if it makes a bottleneck i wanna play with the radeon 7850 in ultra with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 what do you think will be a bottleneck? waiting for your replies thank you!

sorry for my bad english

hi thank you for your reply i will play bf 3, mw3, dirt 3, skyrim, batman arkham city and the games of 2011 and the new ones that will be in this year assasins creed 3 black ops 2 did you thik that will be a bottleneck?

sorry for my bad english

the main game that will bottleneck to some extent will be BF3, due to it liking quad cores and is not really optimized for hyper-threading like its predecessor was. this apples to ultra settings at high resolutions most likely. but i speak in behalf of the sandy bridge generation, so it might be a bit worse for gen 1.

fixed that for ya 😉
EDIT: and add skyrim being a load on that cpu.

just a more few question if change mi i3 550 for i5 760 2.8 ghz same generation and same socket but quad core will be the same? or with the i5 760 doesnt will be bottleneck sorry for my bad english

thank you very much man so with mi i3 wont be bottleneck? even in multiplayer of BF3

multi player BF3 will make that i3 slow down to a crawl. it is not the graphics but the game, or loading the map that will affect the gameplay.

You are definitely going to need to change to a better power supply, but not just any power supply. You are going to have to get a very highly rated power supply. Not some $30 piece of garbage that is going to set your computer on fire.

These are good units that would be able to run a system like yours:

EDIT: And yea BF3 multiplayer will bring the i3 to its knees, but most other games should be perfectly fine.

for cpu intensive games like multi player BF3 and skyrim; YES.
again the graphics card will not bottleneck the i3 but the games will.

ok man thank you so much i will buy the 7850 and later i tell us how i was 😀

well i am from mexico but the graphic card and the psu will buy in walmart of USA or can you tell me a shop where the prices are low
