Intel core i3 550 with radeon hd 7850

Hello, guys i have the processor intel core i3 550 @ 3.2 ghz first generation and i wanna buy the radeon hd 7850 2gb ddr5 but i dont know if it makes a bottleneck i wanna play with the radeon 7850 in ultra with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 what do you think will be a bottleneck? waiting for your replies thank you!

The 7850 is going to out-do the 6950 by a little bit. Newegg is an online retailer, and usually has very low prices. You might be able to find a Fry's or something in Tucson, but I cant seem to find any.

both of those graphics card have the same performance but 7850 is much more efficient(6950 need 200w,7850 need 130w)

You must make sure it is a GOOD PSU of 600W, not just some generic no-name PSU of 600W.

Here is a list of most of the PSU's today on the market, and where they stand on quality. Anything tier 3 or higher would be sufficient.

hello friend i investigate more of the bottleneck and all says me that the i3 doesnt move battlefield 3 with that gpu but look this i enter in system requirements lab and put battlefield 3 and look that also can overclock the cpu with a good dissipador so you are correct whit radeon hd 7850 and a psu more powerfull i will have pc for a while thank you so much for your help! 😀

Perfect chart. And I didn't know my 6950 was still this fast lol! Mine has the unlocked shaders so it might be faster.

The 7850 is a very quick card. Plenty for BF3 if you get the right power supply and maybe upgrade the processor, but only if the funds allow. Realistically, you should be able to play the game fine.
