I'm a gamer. I want to limit myself to 1100 dollars for my build and I've spent a lot of time and effort in it. My build is really good, but I also need to factor in the cost of a mic and keyboard. So I would like to get the price down a little bit. I would like to know if you fellow PC enthusiasts can help me out. What kind of drop in FPS should I expect if I switch my current CPU (Intel i5) for the Pentium? How would my games be affected?
FOR REFERENCE: I play a lot of FPS games like CSGO. I also play stuff like Planetside 2 and far cry and sometimes battlefield. So if possiblw, use those games for reference on the difference in FPS and performance. Also, here is the link to my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/The_Ma5ter/saved/CyrwrH

i5 or i7 HANDS DOWN THE WINNERS..... That is, unless you want to go towards X99 and DDR4.....

Blackbird Inbound his build idea is good you might want to maybe select some of those parts for you build unless you had other ones in mind.

This is the second i5 or Pentium thread I've been in in 15 minutes. Please for the love of god, don't get a Pentium when an i5 is an option. Even if it overclocks it is just two cores with very little cache. It is a freaking cool little chip, but so not worth it for the gamers. An i3 is the best place to start for gaming and the i5 is perfect. If you want to trim dollars you aren't going to see a performance difference in games between the 4440, 4460, 4590 or the even the the 4690 unless it's overclocked and even then it's arguable that the extra money is better spent on the GPU or in your case a nice mic and keyboard. You can also trim a few dollars by getting a WD Blue instead of WD Black drive.

I would also like to recommend the G2 over the G1 for your power supply. The top rated PSU on the market right now.

Ok, so I think I'll make all the changes you suggested. My only concerns are for the case and the cooler. Will I be able to plug in a mouse, headphones, and possibly an external harddrive to store video that i record all at the same time with that case? I think it only has 2 USB ports. Then again...I think the case I have on MY list also only has 2 USB ports. I would prefer to be able to plug in at least 3 (doubt it but maybe 4) things at once into my computer. As for the cooler. I already have a hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler with 4 direct contact heat pipes and universal mounting (by cooler master). I think that is the only cooler/fan I have. I don't have one in my build. Will that fan be enough? Also, do I need a case fan? It is the only fan I have and the only one o was planning on getting. Please tell me if I should reconsider.

Please note: my preferred limit is $1100 so the build you made is perfect price wise. So if my comments invoke any changes, please try to find the most cost affective alternative. I would also like to thank you for helping me. I wouldn't be able to do this without you!

The motherboard has more USB ports on it.

I don't actually own a desktop. The motherboard pokes out on the back right? You can plug stuff in from there?

Yes it is
