You know what pisses me off? We should've had IVB-E last year! Right now we should have Haswell-E!

Dual Xeons cost money. A lot of money. And not every studio can allow itself to get dual-X workstations and upgrade them every 3-4 or so years. Also peripherals. Pro monitors are quite expensive. Not to mention RAM. People think it's cheap even for the ECC but when we start talking 32/64 GB instead of 8 per machine, its another fat bill. 1TB SSDs for temporary files. 10 TB per machine of HDDs. Sometimes only for 5 minutes, we get to 1.5 TB of data.
